Dance Hall Closing
Remains at Midnight
At the November meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors which was held Friday at the courthouse, the members voted to leave the ordinance which set the time of closing of dance halls on Saturday at 12 midnight. This action had been taken at an earlier meeting, but had met with opposition from dance hall proprietors who wanted to compromise between the former 2 a. m. Closings and the midnight closing. Repair of the Moffett Building in the court yard was discussed and the Board Chairman, J. Newbill Miller and Clerk, E. M. Jones were requested to over see this. The building will be used for office space. The meeting adjourned after a sheep claim was ordered paid as were current operating bills.
