Motorist Charged

After Collision

Earl Sloan of Alexandria has been charged with driving under the influence after a single-vehicle collision which occurred November 7th. According to Trooper Paul Dicks, Sloan lost control of his 1959 Ford sedan on a curve, ran off the right of the highway into a ditch. The accident happened on Route 211 two and a half miles east of Washington. There were no injuries and damage was estimated at $250, said Mr. Dicks.
