Dixie, a thirteen inch Beagle owned by Garfield Burke of Woodville placed fourth in her class at the recent field trials sponsored by the Madison Wildlife Association. Other winners in this class were; 1st, "Nell” owned by Henry Smith of Etlan, 2nd, “Big Foot” owned by Herman Sisk of Madison and third place was Elwood Carter’s Brownie.’ Bill Trimmer of Stanardsville was the proud owner of the first place winner of the 15 inch class, “Virginia Jim” which was also declared the grand champion of the trials.
