Teachers are in the news!!! Mr. Norman Skinner, English instructor at RCHS is taking a night course in Seventeenth-Century Literature by Milton. Mr. Skinner drives to Harrisonburg each Monday night and attends class from 7:00 to 10:00. You see students, even teachers go to school. The Virginia Education Association acted as an agent for reporting election returns for The American Broadcasting Company News. A. B. C. contributed $5,000 to a scholarship fund for training teachers. In Rappahannock the Chairman of the Citizenship Committee of the local Teachers Association, Mr. B. Gale Titche-j nell organized a reporting team for this project. He say$ “The people responsible for reporting from the various precincts were very prompt and efficent." A. B. C. News had Rappahannock returns shortly after 10:00. Parent-Teacher Day last FrF day gave the students a three: day week-end. Only twenty | parents were present to con-1 fer with teachers. Parents, what happened??? RCHS would like to thank all! those who bought magazines, i This year’s campaign mounted to over $900. Even though the goal of $1000 was not reached, the students have been praised for their work.
