Jaycees Plan County
League Baseball
The Rappahannock Jaycees are in the process of organizing an intra-county baseball league for boys between the ages of 8 and 12. Plans call for a team from each of four different sections of the county. These teams will com pete in a double header game on Saturday afternoons. Practice and games will begin after the close of school in June. It is hoped that a great num ber of boys will be enthusiastic about the baseball league. Par ents and any adults who are interested in baseball are encouraged to assist in making this endeavor a success.

Convention Delegates
At the May 6 meeting of the Rappahannock Republicans, J. Bernard Dahlgren was chosen delegate to the Republican State Convention at Norfolk to be held May 15. Alternate; Col. John Carney. The delegates chosen for the Senatorial District Convention to be held in Luray on June 5 are Mrs. Mary Cleverley, L. V. Merrill, George Taylor and J, Bernard Dahlgren. Alternates; T. Morgan Johnston and Mrs. Marietta Cheatham.
