4-H Lamb Sale Cancelled
The 4-H Lamb Show and Sale scheduled for Monday, May 17 at Winchester has been cancelled due to the insufficient number of 4-H lambs ready for market. The next 4-H Lamb Show and Sale will be held on Monday, June 14 instead of June 21 as previously scheduled.
Prom Goers Have “Song in Heart”
With a 'Song in their Hearth the juniors and seniors of Rappahannock County High School and their guests enjoyed the annual prom held Saturday night at the school. The music of The Detours resounded from every corner of the gym and gay conversation filled the breaks of the orchestra. The colorful gowns of the young ladies and formal suits of the gentlemen blended with the decorations which carried out the dance theme, “A Song in » My Heart.” The center of the room held a wishing well surrounded by flowers on a carpet of green grass. From the ceiling red hearts* and black musical notes fluttered in mobile fashion. The bleacher wall was covered with silver paper adorned with more hearts and notes and the theme spelled out. The group was refreshed with lime punch, cake, doughnut holes, mints and nuts.
