Col. Biddle Joins

Col. Maurie F. Biddle, U. S. Air Force, who will retire soon will join the Real Estate firm of T. J. Pillar, Sperryville. Col. Biddle purchased the Kuhn property some years ago and built a home on a high elevation overlooking the F. T. Valley and will make this his permanent residence. Col. Biddle started his service career in a balloon squadron and has served in the Philippines, J a p a n , Hawaii, Turkey and other stations in the United States. After seeing much of the world Col. Biddle states that of all the places around the world, none can approach the beauty of Rappahannock County. He is married to the formet Hazel Bold of San Franciso. They have two children, a 6on who is in the Air Force as a navigational Lieutenant on the Saigon run. His son plans to attend the University ol Virginia law school on completion of his service obligation. His daughter presently attends High School in Georgetown and will go on to Georgetown University Foreign Service School. Properties sold and settled recently by T. J. Pillar, Broker include 175 acre farm of Nina Jenkins at Slate Mills, Va. to Joe Starry of Vienna, Va.; 150 acre farm of Chas. R. Coates of Etlan, Va. to Roger Legge, Jr. of McLean, Va. and 46 acre farm of J. Shirley Call of Etlan, Va. to E. P. Hecking of Arlington, Va.
