Robert Cook Named
District Ranger
Robert E. “Bob” Cook has been selected for the District Ranger position in Mangrovt District of Everglades National Park in Florida. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Cook was stationed at Harpers Ferry National Monument in West Virginia. He has served 12 years with the National Park Service, holding positions at Colonial National Historical Park, Shenandoah National Park, and Cape Cod National Seashore. He was a member of the first group of rangers to attend the National Park Service Training Center at Yosemite National Park, Calif. The 46-year-old ranger is a veteran of World War II, and is a son of Capt. and Mrs. J. P. Cook of Flint Hill. He will be in charge of the Mangrove District of the Park with offices located in Flamingo, Fla.
