The Rappahannock County Teachers Association wishes to thank all of the parents, friends and well wishers for making the Rappahannock County May Day a success on Saturday. The following amounts were turned in by the schools. > Amissville Grades School.... $130.00 Scrabble Graded School. $484.00 W. A. Russell Graded School $128.00 Washington Graded School... $380.50 A sum of $300.00 was given to the Community Center at Washington to pay off the mortage on the building. The sum of $100.00 to each school to go in the P.T.A. treasurer. The rest of the money was put in the bank for Scholarships to worthy college students, and other worthy causes Joann Aylor and Samuel Wigington were crown King and Queen. Prizes were given to all of the other contestants.
