Hold Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Rural Letter Carriers Association and Ladies Auxiliary of Madison, Rappahannock, Culpeper and Orange counties was held May 15 at Warren’s Restaurant in Culpeper. Guest speakers for the banquet meeting wasWallace J. Dyar of the Delivery Service Department, Washington Office and Jerry Schweikert of the Virginia Rural Letter Cat riers Association. Henry Fitz hugh of Gordonsville, president of the local association, presided at the meeting. Officers elected for the local organization for the coming year are: C. F. Yates, Jr., Reva, president; Charles Palmer, Washington, vice president; Charlie Compton, Amissville, secretary-treasurer. Delegates elected to attend the State Rural Carriers meeting at Natural Bridge in July are Jerry Schweikert, Orange; A. F. Cannon, Castleton; Allen Ellet, Rixeyville; Tom Willoughby, Rapidan; Henry Fitzhugh, Gordonsville; Charlie Compton, Amissville. Alternates are Clinton Thornhill Culpeper and Pete Morri6, Culpeper.
