The Rev. Dabney Carr of Philadelphia visited friends in town last Wednesday. Sunday guests of Mrs. W. M. Fletcher were Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Gibson of Chicago and Mrs. Edwin H. Gibson of Culpeper.
Mrs. W. Arthur Miller was in Richmond Saturday to visit her father Mr. JohnM. Caskie who underwent em ergency surgery Friday night at Richmond MemorialHospital. Also visiting him was another daughter Mrs. Gordon Lindenblad and Dr. Lindenblad of Prince^ ton, N. J. Mrs. Kent Woolfolk and F.arl Crank of Louisa were in town Saturday to attend funeral services for Mrs. Woolfolk’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles Wood Keyser. Mrs. Quenton McCoy of Pocomoke, Md. and Mrs. Paul Smith were here Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Keyser. Mrs. Smith, the former Miss Alice Wood, has completed her studies at Katherine Gibbs School in New York and has joined Mr. Smith in Charlottes, ville. Mr6. L. J. Turner visited her daughter Miss Carolyn Gates Turner in Richmond during the weekend. On Saturday they joined other members of the family in celebrating the birthday of Miss Turner’s grandfather Mr. L. G. Turner in Richsquare, N. C. Travis Dudley of New Kent spent several days this week as the guest of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W. C; Campbell at Twinland and enjoyed fishing the county streams. Virgil Updike and Henry Keyser remain as patients in the University-of Virginia Hospital.
