Friday was one of the busiest days of the year for RCHS students. The morning begar as y%ual, but the afternoor proved quite different.
The SCA presented a program to dedicate two new flags recently received by the school. The flags we re donated by Commander I. O. Wolf and The Junior Class. Following a speech by Jimmy Jenkins, Junior Class President, Commander Wolf spoke on patriotism. RCHS would like to thank The Junior Class and Commander Wolf for theii gifts!! After the program many of us went to the May Day at Sperryville.
Upon return to RCHS thirtyfive FFA and FHA’ers' excitingly dressed for their hike to Red Oak Mountain. After the hike the food was more delicious than ever. The Rappahannock Baseball Team was trying diligently to win a game. However, their efforts did not prove victorious. Warren County was the winner. Come on Panthers, you’ve got to win one game before the year is over!! Top ten hits at RCHS: No. 1, One Kiss For Old Time Sake (Candy Kisses, Please). No. 2, I’ll Never Find Another You (Keep Searching). No. 3, Crying In The Chapel (Have a Hanky?). No. 4, True Love Ways (Pounds and Ounces). No. 5, Back In My Arms Again (It’s Not Unusual). No. 6, Cast Your Fate To The Wind (Fate or Fat??) No. 7, Help Me Ronda (S.O.S.) No. 8, Silhouette (It’s Better In Person). No. 9, Voodoo Woman (I’d Like To Be You). No. 10, Rules of Love (Ask Cupid). Mysterious People. He is a Sophomore, has brown hair and blue eyes. He drives a ’59 black Ford and doesn’t like to have his horn blown. Last week’s mysterious person was Janice Dodson. Loose Ends. The trouble with the little white lie is that it not only grows but changes color.
