Amy Palmer reigned as Queen of Health and John Deal was the King of Health for the annual May Day activities at Sperryville Elementary School Friday. Amy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer of Washington. John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Deal, Sperryville. Maid of Honor was Linda Jenkins and Prince of Health was Dale Welch. 'Other attendants were Nancy Nethers, Dolly Ann Nicholson, Joan Dodson, Sandra Payne, Judy Burke, Susan Dodson, Betty Lou Atkins and Jane Kilby. Patsy Vest was train bearer; Tim Beahm, crown bearer; Carol Taylor and Terry Leake, flower girls.
Acting as Master of Ceremonies for the pageant, “Medley of Memories,* was Bill Kilby while Debbie Jenkins was the Fairy of Music. Ushers were David Thornhill, Douglas Gilkey and Wayne Smoot.
“Medley of Memories” took an elderly couple, Terry Russell and Joyce Hitt back to their childhood schooldays, then through their courtship and marriage. Scenes were accompanied by appropriate musical selections by the school chorus. In conclusion
