The Rappahannock Lions Club held its regular suppei y meeting at Hampton Inn or June 23. The principal item oi business was the installatior of officers for the coming year.
Lion Waller Jones of Culpeper performed the installation ceremony and the new officers are as follows: president. Raymond Johnson; vice president. Luther Stuart; secretary, Wayne Hayes; treasurer, J. W. Coates; tail twister Dan Wilson; lion tamer, C. B.’ Palmer. There were brief statements of thanks addressed to the club by the outgoing officers, and pledges of cooperation from the District Office by Lions Jones and Taylor, past and present Deputy Governors, respectively. The club is particularly proud that Lion Paul Nichols, our faithful secretary and treasurer of eight terms, has been chosen as Zone Chairman by the Governors office. We are confident that the past dedication to Lionism demonstrated by Lion Nichols will continue and the cause of Lionism will be enriched by this appointment.
