Mrs. Dorothy King Bailey
Mrs. Dorothy King Bailey, 61, wife of Rear Adm. William Byron Bailey and sister of Col. Charles W. King, Ben i Venue and Arthur M. King,
jAlexandria, Va. died June 24 in the Coronado, California Hospital after a long illness. A native of Alexandria, daugh ter of the late Frank T. and Marguret W. King. Mrs. Bailey attended one year at the Wilson Teachers College] Washington, D. C., two years at the University of Grenoble Grenoble, France, and graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B. A. degree in education. She taught in the D. C. schools in the early 1920’s until her marriage in 1927. She moved to Coronado, Calif when her husband retired. She was a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America, and a past regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution atCoron ado prior to her illness and active in church work at her local Episcopal Church. Surviving, besides her hus band and two brothers, are two daughters, Mrs. Mack O. Matthews of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. James H. Pooler of Cor onado; and three grandchildren.
Col. King and his brother, flew to Coronado to attend the funeral services at the church land the internment in the National Cemetery at San Diego.
