Amissville Ruritans
Barbecue July 3
The men of Amissville Ruriian Club aren’t tied to anyone’s apron strings, and to prove it they’re wearing the aprons. Of course this is all in preparation for the annual barbecue sponsored by the Ruritans which will be held Saturday, July 3 from 4 o’clock in the afternoon until 9 p.m. The succulent pit-cooked beef will be served with vegetables, salad, drink and dessert and is $1.50 for adults and 75 cents for children for all you can eat. That’s a bargain.
The men say they are doing all of i he cooking and serving, but I’ll bet the women manage to get a finger in the pie. There will be rides for the kiddies and prizes will be given away.
Bake Sale Scheduled At Flint Hill July 3
The Missionary Society of the Flint Hill Baptist Church will sponsor a Bake Sale, Saturday, July 3 starting at 10 a.m. at Bradford’s Store. Homemade cakes, pies, candies, will be on sale. A good time to stock up for the long holiday weekend ahead.
