Accidents Injure
2 County Residents
C.. H. (Skippy) Giles, Jr., who is attending summer school at Hargrave Military Academy, is recovering from a serious eye injury sustained Friday. Skippy was struck in the eye with a tennis ball as he stepped out of a building on the campus. He was hospitalized over night in the Danville Hospital and is now recuperating at the school. Skippy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F.. Giles of Washington.
Mrs. Ada Huff ofWashington broke her hip last Wednesday, June 23 when she fell in the living room of her home. She is a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville and underwent surgery there Tuesday. Mrs. Huff is 82 years of age.
Picnic Cancelled
The Flint Hill Methodist Church Sunday School Picnic scheduled for July 4 has been canceled, due to - unforeseen circumstances.
Lawn Party Set at Willis Chapel Saturday
Willis Chapel Methodist Church will sponsor a Lawn Party on Saturday, July 3, 1965 beginning at 5;30 p. m. It will be held on the lawn of Willis Chapel Church. There will be a variety ofgood food from which to choose fried chicken, ham, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, pies, cakes, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and homemade ice cream. Don't miss this lawn party for a delicious meal and fine fellowship.
