underwent surgery Friday at the Martha Jefferson Hospita! Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Vaughan and two sons left Tuesday after spending several days ai the home of Mrs. Vaughan’s parents Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller. The Vaughan family will visit Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Paulson in Newport News be fore returning to their home in Ridgewood, N. J. Miss Becky Jones who is a summer student at Longwood College in Farmville spent the holiday week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike and daughter Gail were guests Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker in Culpeper. Dr. and Mrs. F. D. Whitworth of Front Royal were Sunday afternoon callers of Mr. anc Mrs. C. J. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Smith of Fairfax spent the holiday week-end at Spring House Farm with Mr. and Mrs, Harry Lee Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Gumpe returned this week to their home in Pasadena, Calif, after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Os cat Lindgren at Jessamine HiP Farm. Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Linder blad and three children of Princetwon, N. J. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs, W. Arthur Miller at Mt. Prc spect. Mrs. Lindenblad anc children remained for the week. Dr. Lindenblad return ed to Princeton on Monday and will rejoin his family this week-end. On Tuesday Mrs. Lindenblad visited her father John M. Caskie who is a patient in the Richmond Memorial Hospital.
