Merchants Receive Pesticide Handbooks
The following Rappahannock merchants have requested and will be supplied with copies of the Virginia Pesticide Hand book: Rappahannock Farmers Co-op, Lea Bros, Baldwins Grocery, Washington Cash .Store,-Utz Store, Corner Store ran<J Rectors Store. This book gives information on recommended insecticides, rates of application as well as restrictions and is an excellent reference. It was prepared by Extension Entomologist; Horticulturist, Livestock PeF sonnel, etc. and Dr. W. R. Van Dresser, Coordinator, Chemi cal-Pesticide Program in fur thering VPI’s effort in teaching people the proper use of chemicals in controlling pests In behalf of the State Extension Service and myself, I wish to hereby thank these handlers for their co-operation. To me this Is an example of merchants efforts to supply their customers with accurate information on useage of insecticide chemicals. Also, I am sure other merchants of the county will request the Handbook should a need develop in the future among their customers.
