Bill Seeks Labels On Bldg. Glass Doors
Harrisburg, Pa. - Legislation to make invisible doors visible was reported to the floor of the House yesterday. The bill, released by the committee on state government, would require all glass and transparent doors to be posted with some sort of warning or sign at eye level. The bill stems from an accident several months ago in Allentown, Pa., when Gov. William W. Scranton suffered a “shiner” by walking into a glass door. The bill would establish a fine of $10 to $50 or 10 dsys in jail for violation of the act.
