He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Edwards Thomp son of Castleton; a son Daniel W. Thompson, Jr. of Washington,- D. C.; five brothers, M. L. Thompson, Viewtown, William I. Thompson, Culpeper, Dr. Henry D. Thompson, Brodheadsville, Pa., Hubert H. and Harry B. Thompson, both of Arlington; and one sister, Mrs. Madge B. German of Falls Church. A funeral service was held at 3 p. m. Friday at Simmons Brothers Funeral Home, Wash ington, D. C.

A graveside funeral service was held Friday at 11 a. m. in Fairview Cemetery at Culpeper for John Walter Minnis, Sr., 54, of Boston who died June 29, 1965 in Prince William County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice S. Minnis of Boston and Washington, D. C., three sons, John W. Minnis, Jr., William J. Minnis and James C. Minnis, all of Culpeper; his mother Mrs. Mary L. Simon of Boston and a sister, Mrs. Frances L. Ingley of Washington, D. C.
