Annual Bench Show
The Virginia Fox Hunters Association Bench Show held at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises July 3 was reported by W. H. Lyne as having the largest number of entries and the best hounds he had ever seen. Competition for Best in Show wa6 won by a 10-month-old puppy, “Snake Eyes" ownedby Grover Poole of Maryland. This was in competition with four state champions and a National Bench Champion. Present were three state association presidents and president of the National Association Alonzo Burriss of Lincolnton, N. C. The 22 pound ham given by the Northern Virginia Fox Hunter’s Association was won by P. J. Smith of Amissville.
