The post office at Chester Gap was burglarized Saturday and cash in the amount of $266 was taken. The burglary occurred around noon while the Postmaster, Mrs. Phyllis Morris, was at lunch at her home just a matter of a few yards away. Under the cover of a dense fog which shrouded the mountain top community, the person or persons broke the glass in the front door of the building to gain entry and make off with the cash, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin who investigated. Postal inspectors were summoned to continue the investigation.
