Virginia Wool Pools will sell tbeir wool and set pooling dates on May 3 at Ingleside Hotel, Staunton. James F. Mas. ^sie will represent Rappahannock producers and will accompany J. C. Bauserman of Culpeper Extension Service Office and others on sale date. As in past years wool will be offered on a sealed bid basis. Representatives of the eastern woolen mills will be present. Usually around a million pounds of wool is sold in 15-20 minutes.
Noted last week the Snead's flock to be the first shorn in Rappahannock - Charles Cannon doing his usual clean neat job at the shears. Also believe Mrs. Lois Snead has been the first, if not among the first to market 90-100 pound lambs. She sold the first about a month ago! Weans lambs at 40-45 pounds, puts them on creep and likes the results. Mrs. Snead, how about a write-up of your program? Think it would be of interest to other shepherds.
