Question: What material should I use to line summer skirts such as linen, hop sacking, etc.? Answer: Lining fabrics should have the same general characteristics and care re quirements as the garment to be lined. If the garment i£ washable, then the lining must be washable. For lining linen, hop sacking fabrics such as cotton sheath lining, lawn, or bastiste are good. Question; How do you keep white dacron and cotton fabrics from turning gray or yellow? Answer; Wash only with other white clothes, avoid chlorine bleaches and avoid high temperatures when drying and pressing garments of such fabrics. Question; How can you re move perspiration stains from clothing made of man-made fabrics, such as polyesters aqd the perma-pressed. ^nswer; Wash or spongy stains thoroughly with light dq'fy liquid detergent and warm water. Work carefully, because some fabrics are weakened by perspiration. If perspiration has changed the color, try to restore it by treating with white vinegar or household ammonia and rinse thoroughly.
