April showers have, at last, ceased and everyone is now looking forward to sunshine and those little ole May flowers. . . May 7 marks the day when several Juniors will go to Warren County High School to take College Board Examinations. Those planning to take the tests are: Joan Lee, Anne Cannon, Nancy Buntin and Pat Foster. Some of the popular songs heard often around RCHS are 'Monday, Monday', 'Gloria", 'Groovy Kind of Love", 'Sloop John B", and 'Good Lovin . Speaking of songs - 'You're in the Army Now' was sung by several students last week who traveled to Roanoke to take examinations for the Armed Services. Billy Mundy, Bill Durden, Mack Dodson, Ronnie Pullen, Robert Cooke, Barbara Pullen and Ruth Dwyer from Rappahannock took the tests. Believe it or not, the latest fashion rage at RCHS is— Paper Dresses!! (Found any tears yet, 'L. H.'?) Another new style, among the boys, is Madras hats and 'Granny Glasses'. Archeologists recently found some very delicate, hand carved figurines, thought to be 2,700 years old, and in excellent shape. Somebody must have kept them out of reach of the kiddies.
