David R. Bennett

A graveside funeral service was held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Washington Masonic Cemetery for David Rachel Bennett, 59, of Merrifield, who was killed Sunday, May 11, 1966 in a collision near Ami8sville. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Walker Bennett of Front Royal, who survive him. He is also survived by seven daughters; Mrs. Stanley Price, Miss Joan Bennett, both of Staunton; Mrs. Gus Jarman of Rolls, Arizona, the Misses Bonnie Sue, Lou Ann, Carolyn Margaret and Virginia Bennett, all of Falls Church; three sons, Joseph Bennett of Rolls, Arizona, David E. and Donald Russell Bennett, of Falls Church. Also surviving are three brothers and five sisters; Ellis W. Bennett of Flint Hill, George P, and James C. Bennett of Front Royal; Mrs. James Knight, Mrs. Mary A. Elliott and Mrs. Stella Payne, all of Front Royal, Mrs. Edgar Hawkins of Washington, Va. and Mrs. Wood Burke of Luray.
