Road Bids Requested
Bids have been requested by the State Highway Department for 44 projects in the first call for bids in the 1966-67 fiscal year. Included in this is one project in Rappahannock County, on Route 729. This will be a bridge over the Thornton River and0.66 miles of approach road between jjRoute 618 and 622 north of Xaurel Mills.
Garden Club To Meet
The R appahannock Garden tJlub will meet Wednesday, July 20 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. E. N. Montague near Sperryville. Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., program chairman, will have as her program theme, “The American Flag".
Flint Hill H.D. Picnic
Flint Hill Home Demonstration Club will have their picnic Tuesday, July 19 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Pullen at 6:30 p.m.
Amissville Methodist Opens Bible School Mon.
Bible School will be held at Amissville Methodist Church Monday through Friday, July 18-22. Classes are from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. At the close of the school a commencement will be held Friday evening beginning at 7:30p.m. Refreshments will be served each day.
