Dear Editor,
The many cars parked on the roads in sight of "Avon Hall* the evening of the Fourth of July clearly exemplified the enjoyment which the community as well as friends from other areas derives each year for the beautiful display of fireworks presented by Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan at their home “Avon Hall.” These presentations have filled a long vacant gap in the patriotic activities of the com munlty. I feel it is appropriate here to express appreciation to the Carrigans on behalf of our town and surrounding areas. We would also like to thank the ladies who helped to arrange and serve the delightful supper for the benefit of the Rappahannock Library.
