The physician-narrator of “Sense In The Sun” warns, “It’s not only fishermen who have to have to be careful.” The film's message is also meant for others who spend long hours in the sun yea rafter year-construction workers, farmers, and outdoor workers of all sorts, as well as those funlovers who swim, boat, golf and sunbathe. The Society's new leaflet, “Sense In The Sun,” also stresses the importance of prevention of skin cancer and urges all to develop a healthy respect for the sun. The leaf let cautions, “Take your sun shine in small doses. For pro longed exposure, weara broad brimmed hat; a long-sleeved shirt; use a beach unbrella apply a screening lotion or cream to protect you skin. In other words, use common sense in the sun.” “Sense In The Sun” is a 14minute, 16mm, color-sound film and is available through any of the Society’s 104 Local Units in Virginia for free show ings to audiences of all age groups. Free copies of the leaflet, “Sense In The Sun,” may also be obtained from any Local Unit of the American Cancer Society.
