Jaycee Officers Have

Banquet, Installation

The Rappahannock Jaycees held a banquet and an lnstalla tion ceremony Friday, July 8 at Hampton Inn near Washington. Present for the dinner were twenty-five members and guests, including Jack Kid well of Culpeper who is Jaycee Vice President of Region Five Certificated of service were presented Mrs. Morgan Johnston, Washington and T. J. Pillar, Sperryville, for their assistance with the Beauty Pageant sponsored by the Jay cees in April. Gibson Wharton of Hampton Inn received a cer tificate for his hospitality in providing a meeting room for the past year, and a certificate to Rappahannock News expressed appreciation for the public service rendered by the news media. Mr. Kidwell was guest speak er and formally installed the newly elected officers for the 66-67 year. He urged the group to continue its growth to provide a service to their community and to themselves, pointing out that time and energy must be given willingly. He read a charge to each candidate before declaring them officers. Those installed were Jim Willis, Jaybird; Wil son Burke, Internal Vice Pres ident; Ernest Eubank, External Vice President; Junior Leake, State Director; and Sonny Brown, President.
