When you and your family are young and really need the most protection, the value of your social security survivors insurance is at its high est. As the children get older the value of the life insurance protection decreases since benefits are payable for a shorter period of time. A pay raise may never bring to mind thoughts of increased life insurance protection under social security before thoughts of a new car. Thinking about a new car or a spec ial vacation is more fun. But that’s the nice thing about social security; you don’t have to think about it -- the survivor protection will be there if your family ever needs it.
Church Anniversary
The Macedonia Baptist Church, Flint Hill, will celebrate its 102nd anniversary with a week of services begin ning Monday, July 10. A guest speaker will be featured each evening and the services begin at 8 p.m. Two services are scheduled for Sunday, July lb. The program is as follows; Monday, Rev. Carroll Baltimore; Tuesday, Rev. Thomas Gibbs; Wednesday, Rev. Allen Baltimore; Thursday, Rev. Carter Allsberry; Friday, Rev. Norman Smith; Sunday, 11 a.m., Rev. I'homas Proctor; 3 p.m. Rev. Matthew Pearson. Dinner will be served at noon with no charge.
