Fourth of July activities in Rappahannock were varied and most were well attended Tuesday. Climaxing the day’s events was the fire works display at Avon Hall, home of Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan, Washington. The brilliant effusion of the colorfur display was enjoyed by a large gathering. Accenting the beautiful grounds at Avon Hal! were candles outlining the lake and forming a bell on the lawn. Other activities of the day included an exhibit at the library, historical speakers, a public auction at yie Carrigan building in the village and a plate supper after.
