In our modern world of an ever expanding list of taxes, tags, permits and licenses for this and that and about everything, the hunting and fishing license fees are, unfortunately, thought of sometimes as “just a way to get some money.* Not so. Sportsmen who wish to hunt and fish buy a license to preserve their sport while they live and for those little ones corning along. Money they give up, but, every penny comes right back to the sportsmen. Just taking to the field orj stream isn’t the whole story. Assuming that you know your license dollars will pay for trout in stocked streams andi for pheasant released and for a! game warden, let’s look at a few of the less obvious benefits to you. In the Fish and Game division of your Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries are experts in research and management. Research reaches in many directions. Observing bass spawning, analyzing water,
