Many items, some rare, unusual ,odd, unique, and useful ,were sold Tuesday at the public auction, held in connection with the July Fourth celebration sponsored by the Library and Historical Society. Attendance at all of the day’s events was good and the activities apparently enjoyed. Articles sold included everything from a Jananese fan to a Franklin stove donated by Mr. and Mrs. David Fannon which was tops in price. r
