Extended to 70 Days
A split dove season totalling 70 half days of shooting and paralleling last year’s dates was selected by the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries July 12, according to Executive Director Chester F. Phelps. The choice of season dates within the framework supplied by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service are September 16 through November 4, and December 18 through January 6. Shooting hours will remain noon until sunset, standard time, each day. The bag limit of 12 daily and 24 in possession is the same as that in effect last season.
