NOTICE OF PROPOSED
COMPULSORY SCHOOL
ATTENDANCE ORDINANCE
At a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, held at the Courthouse of said County on the 7th day of July, 1967, and adjourned to the 17th day of July. 1967, at 10 a.m. On motion made, seconded and passed by unanimous vote, the following ordinance was proposed for adoption at the next regular meeting of said Board to be held on the 4th day of August. 1967, in the Courthouse at Washington, Virginia.
WHEREAS the School Board of Rappahannock County, Virginia, has recommended by resolution to the Board of Supervisors that Title 22, Chapter 12, Article 4. of the 19.>0 Code of Virginia, as amended, be adopted pursuant to Section 22-275.24 of said Code so that it shall be in full force and effect within the County of Rappahannock, State of Virginia, now therefore, the following ordinance is proposed for adoption at the aforesaid next regular meeting of said Board of Supervisors to be held on the 1th day of August, 1967, commencing at 10:00 a.m.:
COMPULSORY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE — Be it ordained by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, that Title 22, Chapter 12, Article 4 (Section 22-275.1 through Section 22-275.25) of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, providing for the compulsory attendance of children between the ages of seven and sixteen in the schools specified in said Act, shall from and after September 1, 1967, be in full force and effect within the County of Rappahannock, Virginia.
And the Clerk of said Board of Supervisors is directed to publish the above ordinance as required by Section 15.1-504 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended.
A copy of the full text of the Ordinance and Title 22, Chapter 12, Article 4 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, is on file in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia.
