Colonel Woodson continued in saying that the second half of 1967 was off to a bad start indeed with 25 deaths during the long Fourth of July weekend. Memorial Day weekend this year saw 20 deaths. All 1967 statistics, he said, are subject to slight upward revisions occasioned by late reports or deaths of persons now carried as injured, since such deaths revert to the date of injury for statistical purposes.
