Miss Mary Stark
Miss Mary Stark, formerly of Woodville, died Friday, July 14, 1967 at the home of her niece Mrs. Irvine White in Madison, at the age of 94. She was a retired school teacher, daughter of the late James P. and Ella Rust Stark of Fauquier County. She was a lifelong resident of Rappahannock County. A funeral service was held at the graveside in Woodville Cemetery Sunday by the Rev. Charles F. Glaenzer, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, Va., of which Miss Stark was a member. Pallbearers were Charles Browning, Stuart White, Joseph I. Brown, Ross Coates and J. W. Fletcher. Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Samuel Atkins Obit
Samuel Burnam Atkins, 68, of Sperryville, died early Sunday morning, July 16, 1967 in the Culpeper Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained in a traffic accident a few hours earlier. He was the son of the late Jacob Menefee Atkins and the late Alice Elizabeth Jenkins Atkins of Sperryville. He is survived by three brothers, Wilbert C. Atkins of Sperryville, Raymond W. Atkins, Washington, D. C. and Edwin W. Atkins, Baltimore, Md. one sister, Miss Lillie Mae Atkins, Sperryville. A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Sperryville Cemetery with the Rev. Edward I^ruitt of Rappahannock Methodist Charge officiating. Pallbearers were Thom as Taylor, CecilAtkins,Alson Atkins, Paul Alther, Charles H. Estes and Roy Leake. Geest Funeral Parlors, Culpeper, was in charge of arrangements.
