Fred W. Schaefer, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. Jack Bruce and Mrs. B. M. Varner attended a luncheon and shower on Saturday at Fairlea given by ,Mrs. R. V. Snead and Dana Snead in honor of Miss Susan Schaefer whose marriage to Francis Updike will take place July 29, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.

Mr. and Mrs. Bowdin Wake and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Parker of Deltaville spent Sun day with Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman.

Mr. and Mrs. John Dennis of Richmond were overnight guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne at Intervale. Mr. and Mrs. John Eubank, Jr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey visited Mrs. Frank Ritenour in Winchester Sunday.

Luncheon guests last Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown were Rev. and Mrs. Edward Nicholson and family of Middleburg. Ann and Joyce Aylor of Arlington are spending twoweeks with their grandmother, Mrs. Della B. Howard at the Lee Highway Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Kight of Silver Spring, Md. were weekend guests of Mrs. Betsey Harrell. Mrs. Nellie Fincham has returned to her home in Culpeper after a weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Early Sisk.
