On Friday evening a 600-lb. pure-bred registered black angus heifer was awarded to Mr. V. Johnson of Amissville! and a set of china to Eugene Williams of Front Royal. The annual event was climaxed on Saturday night with the awarding of a 1967 Plymouth to Dale Butler of Front Royal. Cash prizes were awarded as follows: $75 to C. E. Baumgardner, Front Royal; $50 to Dorothy Messick of Waterlick and $25 to Lester Carroll, Front Royal. The Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for its fine support during the carnival.

According to H. S. Barksdale, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilitzation and Conservation County Committee, eligible voters of Rappahannock County will cast ballots for community committeemen bj mail.
