Amissville Homemakers Hold August Meeting
The regular meeting of the Amissville Home Demonstration Club was held Monday, August 7, at the educational rooms of Amissville Baptist Church. Mrs. Nelson Burner was in charge of the program on “Planning Color Schemes for the Home". Mrs. James Harper and Mrs. Wesley Woodward were hostesses for the meeting.
Jenkins Reunion
The seventh annual reunion of the family of the late Alfred and Katherine Gearing Jenkins of Rappahannock County will be held at Skyline Caverns, Front Royal on Sunday, August 13 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friends and relatives of the family are invited to attend the affair and bring a lunch which will be served at 12:30 p.m. Gifts will be presented family members for the oldest member present, youngest member present, couple married longest, couple most recently married, largest family present and family traveling longest distance.
