Mrs. Pauline Bruce appeared before the Board to Present some interesting stakistics that she had compiled regarding the Dog Fund and Dog Warden.

Judge T. Carlyle Lea wrote a letter to the Board of Supe* visors requesting that he be appointed as the Rappahannock County Director on the newly organized Regional Mental Health Clinic that will serve 9 counties with Charlottesville as the hub. Judge R. V. Snead wrote a letter to the Board recommend ing that they authorize $150 in expenses for County Judge T. Carlyle Lea to attend a Conference of Judges in North Carolina this month. After due discussion Commonwealth Attorney George H. Davis, Jr. was asked if this expenditure could be legally made. He stated that there was no provision in the Code for the Courv ty to make this appropriation. Chairman of the Board J. Newbill Miller asked the plea, sure of the members on the County Reassessment for 1968 that is mandatory under State Law, for it has been 6 years since the last such study. They voted to ask the assistance of the State in supplying a quali fied person to start this work January 1, 1967.
