The United States Marine Band from Quantico, Virginia and grand marshal, Miss Rebecca Alkire, “Miss American Teen-Ager”, led the parade. Special guests included Miss Barbara Yost of Roanoke, the newly crowned “Miss Virginia”, the Honorable John O. Marsh, Jr. and the Honorable Tom Frost.
