Jim Lee Injured in Fall from Ladder
Jim Lee of Washington sustained serious injuries Monday when he fell from a ladder in an apple orchard near Flint Hill. He fell about 20 feet. He was rushed to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal by Flint Hill Rescue Squad and at this time the extent of his injuries is still undetermined. Mr. Lee and his brother Tom Lee have a joint farming and orchardist business.
Mrs. Cosden Hosts Garden Club Aug. 16
The August meeting of the Rappahannock County Garden Club is scheduled for August 16 at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Gilbert Cosden in Jenkins Hollow near Sperryville. Mrs. F. J. Leonard is chairman of the program with the topic Christmas Arrangements and Decorations (Indoors and Outdoors). The exhibit will be Christmas Decoration or Ornament.
Large Crowd Sees
Flint Hill Parade
A large crowd filled the town of Flint Hill to overflowing for the firemen’s parade last Thursday evening. The gigantic parade was the grand feature of the annual firemen’s carnival. Floats, bands, drum and bugle corps, majorette groups, comic entries, and fire fighting and rescue equipment participated in the parade.
