Mr. and Mrs. A. Lionel Parks of Broome’s Island, Maryland, announce ■ the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Virginia, to Paul Louis Miller, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Miller, Sr. of Flint Hill. Miss Parks is a 1965 graduate of Calvert Senior High School and is presently living in Norfolk, where she is employed with the Navy. Mr. Miller is a 1963 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is now serving in the Navy on the USS Orion (AS-18). A November wedding is planned.

S/Sgt. and Mrs. H. E. McCoy of Mobile, Ala. left Wednesday after spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scott and family. Mrs. Ethel Hall was a guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Palchine in Warrenton. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Latham were visitors Sunday of Mrs. Michael Todd and daughter at Fairfax and of Mr. and Mrs Tommy Owens in Annandale. Mrs. Sarah Latham and daughter Susan, accompanied by Mrs. David Streagle and children Shannon and Marc of Washington, were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. John Peck and Mrs. C. C. Cockerill in Herndon. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and son Billy, with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles of Warrenton spent the weekend in Richmond and attended the State Fair. _
