Mrs. Paul Miller is on vacation this week from the office of the Selective Service and left Tuesday to spend the remainder of the week with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howell and family in Madison Heights. Mrs. Edward Pruitt, Mrs. Ida Trump and Mrs. Edward E. Clark were shoppers for the day at Tyson’s Corner. Mrs. Trump joined friends and has spent the week touring in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Lyle Rector is a patient in Winchester Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Carson Li llard remains a patient in the same hospital. Many relatives and friends were in town Thursday to attend interment services for Mrs. Richard G. Pullen of Richmond and were luncheon guests of Mrs. Pullen’s sister-in-law Mrs. E. M. East ham.
Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. E. M. Eastham and Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Burford were Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Eastham, of Amissville Philip Eastham and family of Hume, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr. and Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett of Washington.
Guests for the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning were Mrs. Browning’s brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Luther Kay of Springfield.
Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. attended a luncheon meeting Saturday of Clerks and Deputies of the Seventh Congressional District at the Mimslym Hotel in Luray.
PFC Walter Krause will arrive Saturday from Fort Carson, Colorado to spend a seven day furlough at the home of his mother Mrs. Mary Krause.
