Ami*sville Ruritan* Plan Year’s Activities
With a program of thirteen community projects outlined for 1969, the newly elected president of Amissville Ruritan Club, Gilbert Lawrence divided his membership into a corresponding number of action groups at the regular dinner meeting last Wednesday evening. Vice president James Harper was handed the whip to encourage chairmen to make early and regular reports on progress achieved.
The ARC. program this year, again calls for a spring festival dinner, a summer barbecue and two horse shows, one in late spring and one in the fall.
In a separate action, the club voted to give $100.00 to the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department, the check to be presented at the department’s !banquet in February .

Beauty Pageant Date
I'he Fourth Annual Rappahannock Beauty Pageant is scheduled for Friday April 18, 1969 and will be held at Rappahannock County Elementary School, according to J. B. Willis, president of the Rappahannock Jaycee Chapter which sponsors the pageant.
Gary Deal and Donald Gore are in charge of the 69 pageants in which approximately $400 in prizes is offered. This includes a college scholarship to the winnei of the older age group and saving? bonds to winners of the othei groups.
