Bawkey
A funeral service was held Friday for William Claude Bawkey, 83, of RixeyviUe, Va. who died January 14, 1969 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The Rev. D. Gordon George officiated at the service which was held at Gourdvine Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Esther Cobb Bawkey; three sons, Ennis J. Bawkey and James E. Bawkey, both of RixeyviUe, and John H. Bawkey of Culpeper; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Dodson and Mrs. Roy Berry, both of Viewtown and Mrs. Russell Shaw of Mitchell; 29 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cora Bassett of Long View, Texas and Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Tempe, Ariz.
Irvin D. White
A graveside service for Irvin Dulaney White, 72, of Madison who died January 20, 1969 was held Wednesday in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Madison The Rev: Charles Glaenzer officiated. /
Mr. White was a native of Madison and retired employee of the highway department. He was a veteran of World War I and died at McGuire Hospital, Richmond, le was the son of the late Jarn^s W. and Sallie Burnett White. \
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tolly Stark White;three daughters, Mrs. Henry C. Newsome, Jr. of Pilot Mt., N. C., Mrs. James R. Greenstreet of Richmond, and Mrs. Frederick Coates of Madison; three sons, Irvin D. White, Jr. of Fort Benning, Ga., James W. White and Stewart T. White, both of Madison; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Also surviving are five brothers, John, Jr. and Woodrow C. White of Madison, Burnett White of Yorktown, Seldon White of Newport News, and Sam White of Brigham, Me.
