Winfrey who came fron Buckingham County and the lab Roberta Layne Winfrey o Fluvanna County. He came b Rappahannock County in 192 after having taught one year eac in Jeffersonton and AmissvilW He was principal of Sperryvill High School which joined wit the Washington High School i 1950 with Mr. Winfrey t principal.
For two years prior to Worl War 1, Mr Winfrey attende Richmond College, but left th institution for service with the 1 S. Navy. At the close of the wa he taught during the winters ar attended the University Virginir. for a number of sutnme i until he received his degree.
He is survived by his wife, Mi Mary Hart Willis Winfrey, thr i brothers, E. W. Winfrey, Jr. - I Clifton Forge,.-tl. H. Winfrey '
